RISE artists will be performing all around the country throughout the year; showcasing their individual talents and diverse musical genres, including, Hip Hop, Funk, Pop, Rapping, Reggae and R&B with eastern fusion. You can catch their performances at various events, including festivals, cultural celebration days and special functions and fundraisers.
RISE artists offer unique styles of music to the public with the aim of raising awareness of the need for a cross cultural participation of new emerging artists from diverse backgrounds in the wider music industry in Australia, which is currently lacking.

West Ridaz (Koolness, F2, Morris B and AD)
Music style: – R&B, Hip Hop, Rap
The West Ridaz are also known to have a very fertile underground hip hop and R&B scene, and being particular hot spots in Melbourne. Many of the West Ridaz underground acts focused more on lyrical technique than their more mainstream peers.
Child Solders – Dismas (Solo artist)
Music Style: – Underground Political Funk & Hip-Hop, Reggae
Dismas, also known as Child Solders, is a underground political hip hop artist from Melbourne, known for his politically charged and criticism of the Australian politics and media , with an active interest in the frustrations and concerns of the refugee community.
Paulo Guina – DJ
Music Style: – Hip Hop, Funk, House beats, Pop, R&B, Reggae and Scratch
Paulo is well-known DJ in Melbourne and he is capable of Bubble Scratch Chirp Scratch Crab Scratch Forward and Backward Scratches. He produces and remixes songs for RISE record artists.
Patrick Marks – aka Pataphysics
Music Style: – Roots Music, Funk Hip Hop and Underground artists.
Multi-instrumental crossover of styles and distinct sound so rich in character, Pataphysics is pushing the boundaries of contemporary music in Australasia.

Pataphysics has audiences jumpin’ with just a mic and his MPC. When Jammin’ with his four piece live Hip Hop outfit, the live warm organic textures mixed with the dirty drums and electronic sub frequencies take it to the next level.
Culture connect-
Culture Connect are a crew of musical nomads originally hailing from Darwin but now calling Melbourne home. Featuring 4 MC’s, Gamarang, Voodoo Dred, Mista Monk and Kojo with core muso’s Airi I on drums, and Bassman on synth and bass guitar, the band create original Roots Hip-Hop music with a unique Tropical flavour. Culture Connect’s members represent a diverse range of nationalities, with cultural heritages extending to the nations of Zimbabwe, the Philippines, Haiti, Papua New Guinea, Ghana and Australia (both Indigenous and non-Indigenous). The diversity of these musical traditions, combined with the band members’ individual cultural experiences, are explored and reflected in their music.
